He proposed that tourism refers to “the impact of the constant growth of tourism system”. Domestic scholar Wang Ning believes that tourism is a socio-economic and socio-cultural progress which turns the society and its environment into grand landscapes, tourist attractions, playgrounds and consumer venues.

The “tourism” proposed in this paper lays greater emphasis on the power of the times. It also represents the process of tourism industry becoming a national or regional pillar industry and widely influence local economic development and residents’ life quality through the popularization of tourism activities and tourism culture, the continuous promotion of tourism space and field, the improvement of tourism industry elements, and the integration of tourism industry with the primary industry, secondary industry and other sectors of the tertiary industry. It was after agricultural society and industrial society when tourism was called an ubiquitous and influential power of the times, and its influence became has become increasingly prominent in the post-industrial industry.

Judging from the general law of world economic and social development, when a country’s per capita GDP exceeds 2000 US dollars, residents holiday tourism begin to flourish; when per capita GDP reaches 3000 US dollars, people’s consumption expenditure on health care, spirit and entertainment will have a significant growth; when per capita GDP exceeds 6000 US dollars, it means that this country has entered the “tourism era” in which tourism has become a common lifestyle and a basic right. In the “tourism era”, tourism will become a lifestyle of more and more people, tourism industry will develop rapidly and sustainably, the tourism power will be increasingly strong.

The word “tourism” actually represents a dynamic state and a driving force. It refers to the process of tourism, regarded as a driving force, having a constant influence on the society. Looking at the growing impact of tourism, it is driven by the huge demand for tourism. Tourism started from the tertiary industry, and has begun to produce various influences through the tourism consumption of tourists, which has led to the transformation of agriculture, industrial transformation and the transformation of tourism itself, and ultimately led to the formation of a structure with service industry as the main body.

Tourism covers the primary, secondary and tertiary industries. With the supply-side structural reform, the current trend for tourism proceeds with the open cooperation and sharing of the mobile wallet of tourism consumption, and therefore promote the integration and innovation of “overlapping demand”. In this historical stage, tourism, like industrialization, will become an important driving force for regional economic and social development.

The realization of tourism can greatly improve the supply capacity of the tourism industry, promote the construction of tourism infrastructure, strengthen the development of tourism products, organize tourism activities and improve tourism public services. The realization of tourism will be the goal of China’s tourism industry development for a long time in the future.
